people, i'm back from OBS!(:
backtracking...

it was my first day of OBS...my group reached the pungol jetty the first but left the jetty last...took the boat to the campsite 1...coz i went for the leadership OBS course instead of the normal one...i supposed to partner denise...but we were seperated into different groups...she's in Marshall and i'm in MUNSHI!!!!(: my watch consists of sheryl sim, jane, pearyln, carren, eunice ong, eunice tan, darli, grace tay, bernette, brenda, erikca and yue xi...my watch is the smallest out of marshall, boon chee and kurd...coz wingyan and another girl not there...but i STILL LOVE MY WATCH....coz the people there are very nice....yue xi is our watch ic...brenda and me are the first-aider...jane and carren are the store ic...my instructor is wilfred...actually supposed to be shu xian...but duno why end up is him...we pitch our 'shelter' for sleeping...end up it turned out to be something like a house without walls but only rooftop...wilfred told us that they saw WILD BOARS before...and we were all so scared...coz our shelter was the deepest in the forest...we had light sticks to guide our way...when we were about to sleep, we heard snorting sound...our minds told us it maybe wildboars...[actualli is cynthia's laughter and snorting...*stupid =.='''] i asked darli to sleep beside me coz i realli scared of wild boars...haha(: end up, she practically din sleep for the whole night...

had navigation in the morning...my group consists of sheryl sim and yuexi [both our leaders for navigation], both eunice, pearlyn, erikca and me...we were the sporting group which did not noe how to use the compass to find the bearings...we managed to find more checkpoints than the other group...had lots of fun...i saw TWO WILD BOARS facing each other...so scary like as if they goin to fight...and they are quite big in size...we had rockclimbing in the afternoon...i din managed to clinged the top...coz my legs kept slipping off...stupid=.= then, we saw the mobile people coming to our campsite...then, i realised i missed my squadmates and my friends...i cried when i saw some of them...had a great night in the dom(:

we had rafting...munshi's design is the most creative and daring...while others are original and safe...we had fun time trying out the raft and all the rafts succeeded...none drown...so much fun(: later in the afternoon, we had kayaking...my partner is darli...both exactly different size ppl kayaking tgt...haha....had fun and laughter...did capsize drills with yuexi...i almost 'drown'...coz my legs got trapped in the kayak...wilfred saved me...oh then, we kayaked to campsite 2....on the way, we saw another group of crescentians....i saw prithika..haha...kayaking alone...
that day was CYNTHIA'S birthday too...then when reached campsite 2, we all had jetty jump...but i din go coz i'm scared as i carn swim..we did our own cooking for dinner...tried bernette's first time cooking of rice...it tasted a bit like claypot rice...coz underneath a bit chao tah...had a lot of laughter and fun during the dinner...later, we had to dig hole and throw all the leftovers inside the sand...therefore, we had a so-called "food funeral"...oh and the whole watch starting calling darli 'chick' and 'dude' haha....(:

sea expedition around the whole ubin...16 km...but i think i kayaked 20km coz darli and me had difficulty controlling the kayak...we left the campsite at 7am...planning to reach the campsite 1 at 5pm...end up reaching campsite 1 around 2 plus....miracle!!! actualli supposed to be one plus...but end up someone had to do her business in the sea...then we waited for her(:then, we had rest and supposed to hav night walk...so scary...end up, others told us it was cancelled...however, in the end only my watch did the night walk...i'm the 5th person to go off and i did it all alone...i was walking at the reservoir half way thru...no more batt for my torch light...so i walked back...wilfred gave me a RED LIGHT STICK...i refused to take it as i find it very scary to use a red 'torchlight' to walk in the dark alone...end up, wilfred gave me his head torch light...darli was the 2nd to go off...and a WILD BOAR walked pass her...she tried to open her KNIFE[can u imagine this girl bringing a knife wherever she goes+.+] but the knife got stucked...[carn imagine wad will happen if she managed to open the knife(:, maybe she will kill the wild boar...haha...]
at around 10 plus, we went back to dom...we wrote messages for wilfred and our watchmates...coz this camp maybe wilfred's last OBS camp too...he's leaving OBS...

had inverse tower and flying fox...did flying fox first...nice scenery...i wana go there again...but climbing up the stairs will lead me to jelly legs...haha...i tot inverse tower i will never make it to the top...guess wad? i DID reached the TOP!!!!(:i'm so happy....then we had time tgt...we talked and we left OBS...i'm sad and wana go back again...
btw, i din get any tanner...disapointing...haha(: i think i grow fatter...got terrible skin when i got back to singapore....very itchy...carn stand it...got sandflies bites on the top of my feet...very bad....went home with cynthia...fun and great time...(:
today, had NDP training...i was very sleepy..can juz fall asleep half way thru the parade...during the break, i was feeling terrible coz of my horrible skin...super itchy and pain...ohh and i got sunburnt on my face coz of the training...it's funny to get sunburnt from the training and not from the OBS...my face red like hong bao like that...after changing out, ma'am was like 'my tian' , 'go back and apply some aloe vera cream, it helps'...mine not the worst...got ppl's face redder than mine...haha...fun on the way back to HTA...lesson learnt today, not to sleep in the bus...u might lose something...haha...inside joke....(: juz found out that crescent np ppl are well-known...k, i think this is my longest post...wana sleep....bb...hav a good time reading(:
